Does anyone know if the ap/sm power leveles drop near the edge of the band for 5.8? I know the ptp400 does. I set the ap at 5.735 and my jitters are running 7-9 all the time now, even with signal in the -55 to -65 range, I am not seeing drops outs or anything, but my jitter before moving from 5.815 to avod interference was always low around 1-3…
No.
Power levels will remain constant at every center frequency.
What else is on that tower? any other 5.7 sources within 3 miles?
There are 2 other 5.7 aps at the site. Nothing ap wise within 3 miles…at least of mine…
Recommend 25MHz channel separation.
Is there any other 5.7 radio nearby or on the same tower? If so, what frequencies?

Is 2x enabled?
I have one ap at 5.735, one @5.760 and one @ 5.790. and yes 2x is enabled, as it was before the freq change from 5.815 to 5.735.
As per the manual Jitter of 9 in 2X is normal operation.

Seems normal to me. If the Jitter is 1-3 it sounds like you weren't always registering in 2x mode on the AP. Jitter of 7-9 is a good range for 2x mode.

Jitter values should be between 0-4 when using software scheduling and between 0-9 when using hardware scheduling in 2x mode.

Thanks for the info …
I put up my first 5.8 APs a month ago. I just switched frequencies on some of them from the middle of the band to the end. The signal level from that AP as measured by various SMs went down about 6 dB…
