We’re running Prizm 2.1 with MySQL on a winxp system.
Database is working great.
AP’s add and manage fine inside of prizm.
SM’s discover, but always fail to come under management.
All sm’s and ap’s are running fw 8.1.5.1
Also, for some reason the element web proxy feature to view
the elements configuration page fails within prizm, however if
accessed by a browser, you can login to ap’s and access sm’s
through the sessions tab.
SNMP Config:
Accessing subnet: 10.a.x/24
SNMP Trap IP: prizm-server-ip (10.a.x.245)
AP IP ranges: 10.a.x.x/24
1/2 of sm’s are in bridge mode, other 1/2 are in NAT mode.
(neither sm will successfully add in prizm)
I’ve enabled the doubleproxy feature in the prizmconfig.xml
Northbound interface, SOAP, SNMP and Element web proxy are enabled.
When i created the network defenition I had sm autodiscovery enabled
and i had use snmp proxy if available checked aswell.
The subnet configuration seems fine as AP’s link up no problem.
Cant get an SM to link up to prizm for the life of me tho.
If anyone has any advice, lemme know.
I’m gonna continue toying with it until then.

Is the tomcat server that installs with prizm configured out of box, or do you have to change config settings for it to work properly ?
I’ve been getting some SM’s to add into prizm management.
So far ive had to reboot some of the AP’s in excess of 10 times to get
the sm’s to accept management.
I have one ap with 2 sm’s on it tho, identical configuration on each sm aside from ip’s.
the 2nd sm is giving me this error tho.

So far ive been able to add the NAT sm’s by assigning a management ip to each of them. after adding an ip, and scanning the associated ranges, this didnt take long at all. about 2 min/sm
out of all of the non-nat SM’s ive only managed to get one to add and actually pass through and come under management. Wierd thing is other than necessary changes to ip’s, the ap & sm configurations are IDENTICAL.
firmware is identical.
SNMP, IP, NAT, Security
and all other settings are IDENTICAL.
all equipment is on the same 10.a.b.? subnet
what is the gateway address of maganagent interface of SM?
It’s in the same subnet???
All versions previously of 8.x SM work only if the gateway is her registered AP
