After having installed Active Perl and Java on my laptop, i go to install CNUT and it does not install correctly. Ive check the path for Perl and its correct. Only problem is is it seems that CNUT doesnt get the Active Perl pieces.
This is the exact error message i get after trying to install CNUT:
The following libraries failed to install:
Archive-Tar-1.08
Canopy-Utility-Lib
libwww-perl-5.76
Net-Ping-2.31
Net-Ping-External-0.11
Net-SNMP-4.1.2
Net-Telnet-3.03
Net-TFTP-0.16
Canopy-null-Lib
Canopy-UI-Lib
You may try to manually install them from
C:'Program Files’Motorola’Canopy’NetworkUpdater’Perllib
________
Now i have tried to do what it says (install the files from there) but the bat file does not seem to work. It gives me the cmd line for maybe a second or two and then closes down again. Could someone give me a hand.
Another interesting thing about this to me is the fact that i have installed it on a PC, a BAM Server running Linux Redhat, and another laptop, but this is my laptop and I need it on this thing to be able to do “truck rolls”. Thanks

I just tried to install cnut as well. I get the same exact error, have uninstalled and reinstalled twice, same thing. Any ideas for helping us?
Thanks
I have heard and read many complaints about the newest version of CNUT from Motorola’s web site. A fellow forum member and I spoke via PM and compared our versions and builds of CNUT. The version I have was downloaded back in April when CNUT first became available. The version he has is the one that Motorola has posted on their site now, which contains the Hardware Scheduling Feature for Advantage networks.
Upon comparing versions and builds, we noticed that both of ours were the exact same. I e-mailed him my version, he tried it, and it fixed his problem - but it then created a new problem.
In summary, I have had nothing but success with my version of CNUT if anyone would like it try it. I recently just put it on my new laptop, which already had Java installed. All I had to do was install Perl (which I still have the installation executable for if anyone is interested) followed by CNUT and my upgrade to 6.1 worked fine.

I'd suggest trying to run that bat file from inside a command prompt window, that way you can see what the error message is before closing the window. That may give you insight into what's going wrong.
