Is the odu power injector 802.3at compliant? We are looking to install PoE switches that can source 802.3at power, and it would be nice to eliminate the extra power supplies.
The PTP 650 is pin-out compatible and current level/power output compatible with 802.3at (as long as no devices are on the secondary AUX port). However, it does not employ the handshaking requirements / protocol to fully negotiate. If you switch has an always-on mode or 'legacy' mode for sending power without this handshake sequence it will work with a 650. Unfortunately, the best advice will be to give it a try.
