We are trying to calculate a link in linkplanner with PTP 820C equipment, but we do not know how to add the eventual interference of the rain, is this possible?
Hi Ronald,
The affects of rain are automatically included in all our availability calculations. On a PTP 8xx link you can see the values for the lowest modulation mode by selecting the blue information icon next to Lowest Mode Availability in the Link Summary.
This will give a pop-up window with more details on the parameters used in the availability calculations, which includes the rain rate and availability due to rain as well as the combined availability with and without rain, so that you can see whether or not link is limited by rain.
