PTP-820G: Factory Defaulted, Now Cannot Access Management. User ID and Password Rejected

I factory defaulted a PTP-820G removed working from the field. The modem retained the management I.P. Address as it should. Attempting to log in at the log in prompts using the browser user interface, but will not allow access.

User ID = admin

Attempted to use password = admin as well as the former administrative password. (Also tried: password)

Powered down and restarted the shelf with same results.
