“There was no internet access available on the street areas of the Tokoroa central business district. Some businesses offered Wi-Fi, but coverage was limited, and residents and visitors had to connect to multiple networks.”
 – DUNCAN BLAIR, INFORMATION SERVICES MANAGER FOR SWDC

Tokoroa required a wireless backhaul network for both a street closed circuit television (CCTV) system for public safety, crime prevention, and law enforcement, and access to public Wi-Fi services for residents and visitors.
