R-series does not support 802.1x or Captive Portal. It is primarily a home and small business router, not really for enterprise or service provider/hotspot applications.

So for 802.1x WPA2-Enterprise, cnMaestro captive portal etc you need one of the E-series APs.

DIAGRAMS:

Internet < Cambium < ethernet cabling < 2x TPLink CPE220 (hotspot) < user

REQUIREMENTS:

1. can generate voucher for wired or wifi users

2. integrate with AD

3. 802.1x

4. integrate with cloud or on  premise cnMaestro

QUESTIONS:

1. reason I am using TPLink because its already there.

so based on requirements

do you think

1xE series enough

or

I need 1xR and 1xE series

tq

REQUIREMENTS:

-AD Integration

-802.1x

-Captive Portal

-Voucher

-Radius

-Hotspot Indoor

I want to buy used one from eBay

Which one of these match those requirements

1. epmp 1000 Connectorized

2. epmp 1000 Integrated Radio

3. epmp Force 180

4. e410

tq

Go with E410

The first three are outdoor devices for fixed-wireless backhaul. As Bobby mentioned, use the e410 (it is indoor Wi-Fi AP). If installing outdoor use e500 or e700 (for Omni), or for sector antenna e501S or e502S.

Note that AD-integration is supported only for guest-wifi (captive portal login). For WPA2-Enterprise the cnPilot APs dont integrate directly with AD but go through a RADIUS server (Such as Windows NPS) which would then look up AD.
