Range extender for ePMP 6GHz dish

I’m a bit lost, because according to the distributor there is no range extender for the ePMP 6 GHz Fixed Wireless Access 2×2 25 dBi Dish Antenna, while the datasheet states that Gain with range extender 28 dBi. Why is Cambium advertising an accessory that doesn’t exist?

The range extenders for 25dBi dishes were discontinued earlier this spring and are no longer available for sale.

If you need extended range, I’d suggest buying a connectorized radio and pairing with an appropriate external dish.

What you’re talking about is the extender with the N000900L062A code for the 5 GHz antenna. That one didn’t even fit the 6 GHz version. Besides, if the one I’m looking for is really EOL, then why doesn’t the company update the information on the website?

Ahhhh OK, I see the confusion… so the dish you reference is an ultra wide band 25dBi 5-7GHz dish that can be used with BOTH the F400c and F4600c and can be used with the N000900L062A range extender, which has been discontinued.

Dear Eric, unfortunately, you still don’t understand what I’m talking about. As I wrote earlier, the range extender that has since gone EOL cannot be mounted on the 6 GHz antenna. The 5 GHz and 6 GHz antennas are not the same. So I’m looking for the range extender that is meant for the 6 GHz antenna (C060900D021A).

I’m pretty sure that the EOL range extender does fit the 6ghz antenna. I haven’t ever used one, but I have seen that part number listed as working with the 6ghz antenna, and I don’t think any other range extender exists.

Anyway, you’re going to be best off just getting a higher gain 3rd party antenna at this point.

The range extender does fit on the 6Ghz connectorized ePMP dish. It does not fit on the force 4625.

It is known that the double surface of the parabola gives a gain of +3 dB.
A range extender that is connected to the parabola with screws requires a redesign of the feed or a different coverage of the illumination.
If it gave Cambium amplification, it only means that the original antenna and feed are not optimized. It covers the existing dish too widely, which is not good.
