Anyone out there use Redline for backhauls? Pros/Cons?
Yes I’ve used them. They are fantastic. What’s nice about them is that if the noise picks up on the link doesn’t go down it senses the noise and drops the throughput accordingly. One thing I don’t like about them are the dishes. Big flat square dishes (really who’s idea was that) And the mounting hardware isn’t great for them as either.
So what we did was order the 2’ dishes from Tranzeo (TR-5.8-29DB-ANT - Great quality and great mounting hardware) and used them with the Redline radios.
They are also software upgradeable to 72Mb (AN-50e)
Again, very relieable product, they just need to work on the dish
