Save error - [Errno 22] invalid mode ('wb') or filename

Hi,

We have an issue with saving open files on network shares;

The issue occures only when saving to the opened file, if we save in the same location but with a different file name it works ok.

Tried it on a few couple of different file share servers to exclude the problem with file permissions, no luck...

Any idea what else to try or what the problem could be?

Hi Ivan,

UNC paths can cause quite a few issues (particularly if your home directory is set to the UNC path).

Try mounting the drive locally (e.g. T:) and then save to T:\BACKUP\....

Thanks for the reply, but I already tried that, same problem.

Even when accesing UNC path or a mapped drive (S:\....)

It worked without any problems until yesterday, today on every PC we get the same error.

It sounds like an issue with your network configuration then. Sorry I don't know what to suggest.
