SM unreachable but passes frames

I discovered a problem in my lab today in which subscriber modules will go unreachable (ping, telnet, http) after about 30 minutes. After the SMs go unresponsive, devices attached to the SM still have network connectivity. A reboot (temorarily) fixes the problem. Reaching the SMs through the AP via LUID shows nothing unusual on the SM.

SM details:

5.2 GHz
Software version 7.2.9
Management VLAN x
User VLAN y
RFC1918 addresses used for managment

I suspect it to be a VLAN problem, but have not fully investigated it yet. Has anyone experienced this problem?

Please check the settings on the SM for Max UP & Down Traffic.In case it is default & u pump lot of data , this seems to be happening & we need to reset the SM.

There are some hitches with software version 7.2.9, that may be causing the problem

Some are passing no data other than BPDUs but still go unreachable.

As an update, the SMs will become reachable after a few hours, but then go unreachable again.
