SM's constantly disconecting

Experiencing a weird problem on a few of our towers. Constant disconnects (few times per minute) on all 900Mhz customers. AP’s are all running P9 & have timing. We did a spectrum analysis on the one tower and noise levels were ranging from -78 up to -85… so it is basically quiet. We have a softare that monitors re-registration’s on the sm’s. Any ideas on what would be causing this ?

All of your AP’s are configured with the same

a) # Control Slots
b) Max Distance
c) Downlink %

correct?

If not, start with that.

Yes everything is configured the same. Problem is only happening on the 900mhz. Using con. 900Mhz with amphenol antel omni BCD-HP7WD (horizontal). We have this exact setup on many other of our towers and don’t have the issue.

Sounds like new interference.

Any suggestions on what we should do? We are going to try to turn the AP on 1x and see if it helps.

We had a similar situation (we are not timed, yet) and it was related to self-interference. Turning 2x off stabilized the service for some customers but not others.

We tried 1x on a couple towers. Seems to have helped a bit but barely. I have just been notified that another one of our towers has the same issue AGAIN…

Are you runningt Prizm??

No we use custom software to monitor and manage everything.
