SNMP Walk no responce

I am using net-snmp and trying to do a walk like
snmpwalk -v2c -c Canopy 172.16.5.47

Timeout: No Response from 172.16.5.47

This is on a linux via command line. I downloaded the MIB files and still nothing. Can someoneplease help.

Your syntax is correct (assuming your community is “Canopy”).

Do you have IP connectivity to the canopy device (read: can you ping it from the linux boxen that you are trying to do this on)?

Any firewalls or ACLs that would block the traffic?
