Stinger Antenna for the Canopy SM/AP

Hi
Can somebody give me information/experiment about the Stinger antenna for the Canopy SM/AP on the 5.7 GHz ( horizontal /vertical ( I can’t understand how can use it horizontally or vertically on the SM/AP Canopy ?)

I use the Beehive stingers for lightweight installs, but the Moto AN500 offers more gain at the added expense of weight.

I like the Lens antennas myself. I haven’t used the Stingers yet so I cannot comment much on those.

I have used stingers, and they work fine, but my vote is for grids from advanced antenna…

We bought a stinger to test. It is cheaply built, and the casing can come open pretty easily, which is not so good.

You're referring to the Wireless Beehive and not the Motorola version.

The wireless beehive version is called the Stinger. Motorola produced the LENS product.

We’ve been using Stingers for several installs - although I will admit the build quality doesn’t seem all that fantastic the performance has been more than adequate and they make the installation go much faster and look much cleaner.

We use the stingers for 900MHz and are very happy with them. The only one we’ve had come apart was this one:

I have used both Stingers and Motorola Lens.
Right, the Moto Lens seem to be more solid and resistant (and heavy) but I found that the gain was more or less the same than Stinger for a double price.
