Unit constantly boots into recovery mode, and will not boot normally

If a PTP unit constantly boots into recovery mode this is most likely a problem with the cabling.
To boot a unit into recovery mode the "recovery button" on the PIDU is held down during a power cycle. This shorts pairs of the Ethernet cable which forces the ODU to boot into recovery.
If these pairs are shorted due to poor cabling, or water ingress in the cable then this will also cause the unit to boot into recovery.

Solution
Please check your cabling. The user guide gives detailed information about the resistance values that should be seen between the various cables in the RJ45 connector.
