Univastu buys Cambium Assets

That is in the filing:

“Brand and Business Operations: The Company will operate the acquired business under the
Cambium Networks brand, subject to the rights acquired under the transaction, preserving the
name and identity recognized by customers and channel partners.”

That’s excellent news, I think. Awesome - and I think that indicates that their intention is to continue as a worldwide WISP leader, and to rebuild ePMP into a major player in the WISP segment. :crossed_fingers:

This is excellent news in my opinion, too. My father did some research and found that Cambium has had a bit under 40% of the market for wireless equipment in the U.S., much more than we realized. This will give Univastu a big ‘jump’ into getting into this market. By letting the company operate as it was already operating, they get the benefit of not only the name and the product line, but the experience of all of the people that were already there. I’m excited, not only for my own sake, but for Univastu. I’m looking forward to seeing them thrive from this purchase.

This is all very good news. Just a quick question… is the NSE product line a part of “Enterprise”?

Also is cnHeat and LinkPlanner a part of cnMaestro suite of products?

Yes, the NSE products are included in the Univastu sale.

Airspan acquired cnHeat and LinkPlanner.

Airspan also got rights to cnMaestro, it remains to be seen how that works. Maybe they get rights to the software and spin up their own instance just for the products they bought? But who maintains the code base, does this mean a fork? I assume details are forthcoming.

Hopefully the new Cambium does some things a bit differently in some ways too. It’d be good if they survey WISPs and get a clear idea of what changes we’d like to see, and implement changes where it’s practical.

I stuggled for years with enunciating Cambium. Soft “a” like gamble or hard “a” like traitor? Apparently it is the soft variant though in my head I still pull up the hard variant and when conversing am sometimes corrected or correct myself. I have no idea how to pronounce यूनिवास्तु..

Brett,

Can you share who the consulting company was, or if not ask them to contact me?

Yes, it’s a short / soft “a” like camp, cameo, camera, cameron, camshaft, & camouflage.
