I am quite new to this and have some questions regarding upgrading software. I would like to set up VOIP and Diff Serv but I guess it would make sense to upgrade first. So my question is this, I noticed that there is 2 options
Canopy System Software v7.3.6 (AES)
Canopy System Software v7.3.6 (DES)
What is the difference and how do I know which to go for.
Also can I upgrade just 1 SM first to test or do I need to do the whole network at once.

You want the "DES" version, unless you have purchased the AES encryption keys for your AP and SM's.
Also can I upgrade just 1 SM first to test or do I need to do the whole network at once.

Upgrade your AP's first, or at least one of them, then do the SM's registered to that AP (or just one to test).
Also use CNUT if you have it, and if you don't, get it and use it. Makes upgrading much easier.
