V5000 not reachable after 5-10 minutes ...?

Hi there,

I am currently doing a deployment with 1x V5000 as POP and 2x V3000 as DN …
Link is stable with MCS12 up and everything works for 5-10 minutes. However, after 5-10 minutes I lose connectivity to the V5000. It cannot be reached via the local network (wired) or via the radio link. (no ping / no GUI / …)
After a power-off / power-up, the V5000 works again for 5-10 minutes - and then it cannot be reached again.

  • V5000 is powered via POE-Injector.
  • 2 different POE Injector tested
  • Cable Length ~25m CAT-7

Anyone have any ideas about this problem?

We have not had this issue on v5000 on either 1.1 or 1.2-b3. However there is a known issue that causes crashes if you have a SFP module installed but no link on the interface. I have seen that happen on our test v5000s.

weird, I’m running “1.2-dev100” on all Nodes, but no SFP installed.

Interestingly, the V5000 seems to be stable today. No crashes so far. On 09/28 crashes reproducible after a few minutes …
Now, of course, not to inspire confidence to take the radio link in live operation if you do not know the reason for it …
