Yes if you want to pass traffic from SM to network behind AP with same VID (or different VID with inter-VLAN routing)
You need manageable switch n create one port as vlan trunking (802.1q tag), n plug AP to that port.

APs only have the management VLAN. SMs Default port VID is dependent on customer. Most VLANs are configured on the PMP switch
