Why Reg Faile SMs of AP is: Out of range??

Hi all,
We have a P-MP application, the range is about 10Km,in aligment we can get RSSI:750,Jitter:2,but still can’t set up the link.
At Reg Faile SMs of AP is:
MAC 0a-00-3e-f0-f9-b8 Out of Range 09:43:45 UT(04/22/05)

why is happened? If anybody can let me know the possible cause or the solution for this problem.

Thanks

I maybe wrong, but I think you don’t have nearly enough signal to
complete a reliable link at that distance.

I can’t get a link on any of my Canopy gear with an RSSI of 750.

We have to have 800 minimum and that’s pushing it.

You need to give us more information about how they’re installed, what
band they in, etc…

The max range setting on the AP is not set appropriately to allow the SM to resgister. You must configure the max range (in miles) to be a number equal or geater than the actual range of the SM.

Remember, if the AP is in a cluster, the max range should be the same on all APs in the cluster.

I think that's been true since 6.1...

Since 6.1, all of the rssi levels dropped but we only use that as a reference
now anyway. The DBM indicator is the acurate one.
