Will ePMP always communicate with cnMaestro through its main Wireless interface even w/ Mgmt enable?

We have ePMP devices in NAT with Separate Wireless Management IP enabled and are seeing that their requests to our on-premise cnMaestro are still being sent through the main wireless interface and not through the separate management interface. Is this the intended behavior?

Is there any update from the team on this inquiry? Is it working as intended? Are there plans for changing this with an option to permit on-premise cnMaestro to have its own private management network?
