We recently upgraded to 7.1 on our 900mhz gear and are trying out the 2x HWS features. I have read the issues with HWS and have not had any of those issues. My question is will the Jitter be higher on the SM side as a result of going to 2x?
It will also toggle between 2x/1x on the SM side? Are these part of the “issues” with HWS?
Yes, you will see a higher jitter count when in 2x. The radio does have the ability to go between 2x & 1x. If you notice that it is occurring frequently, and the throughput hasn’t increased, then you may want to force that particular SM to 1x.
