Is there any disadvantage to keeping the Canopy network gear (CMM, APs, BHs) on the subnet? I currently have my gear on this subnet and I’ve been experiencing weird ARP storms. What IP scheme does everyone else use?

We use a network.

Actively changing the IP address assures that you don’t get duplicate IP addresses when installers forget to put the IP in the radio! duplicae IP’s will bugger up the network until the ARP and bridge tables clear.

Also, the 169.254. network is the APIPA network where devices that cannot find a DHCP server default. May be an issue if you have an SM in bridge mode and a client connects a computer set for DHCP directly to the SM
