I have a 2400 connectorized AP. Last winter we had to put it up in an emergency. My installer grabbed a 5ghz stick instead of a 2.4 and connected it. This was a short link - around 150’ and it worked fine for about three days.
I can still get into the AP but I can’t register an SM to it unless I am right on top of it.
If the SM registers at anything less than about -47 it starts dropping packets and acting extremely stupid.
If we popped to RF on the AP I would think that close associations would show really bad signal strength but that part looks fine.
Is this possibly a calibration issue?
