4500 and MIR

We are finally taking our first drink of the AX Kool aid with a 4500L and will be testing next week but I noticed that even with the latest beta code the MIR option is still not available. When is that expected?

MIR controls are coming in 5.8. That being said, we really don’t use or even need radio MIR controls anymore after deploying Cambium QoE

We are considering QUE but have not decided on which platform and it will be awhile. We’ve heard good things about the Cambium QOE but have not explored in any depth as yet.

So does Cambium QOE support multiple source inputs, i.e. internet access from multiple providers? When we were evaluating Preseem, we found that it would not, though they claim it will in a "future| release.

In our configuration, we have multiple providers routed through a Mikrotik, and then into our Cambium QoE, from there traffic is distributed out to the network.

ISP1+ISP2+ISP3 ↔ Mikrotik ↔ Cambium QoE server ↔ Switch ↔ fixed wireless network.

I don’t believe Cambium QoE can be configured to handle multiple upstream ISP’s directly… because it doesn’t act as a router… only a bridge.

Thanks, we\re going to dig into Cambiums QOE further and set up a demo.

I’ve been talking to Cambium about the same/similar thing, and I’m still unable to figure out how to get this working in our network either. Mainly… if all our backhaul radios and ethernet switches only have 1GB connectors, then how am I going to connect it to get more than 1GB thru the QOE.

While I am still confused & without a plan for my network… I must say that Cambium was very helpful when I talked to them though. And one of the thing they said was that you can have multiple In-Out if you want. So, the QOE won’t do any load balancing itself, but absolutely if you have 3 Fiber Feeds, you can certainly have a QOE box with 6 Ethernet ports and have port 1-2 be the in-out bridge for Provider#1, have ports 3-4 be the in-out bridge for Provider#2, and have ports 5-6 be the in-out bridge for Provider #3
