4500 Spectrum Analyzer

I have quite a few 4500c, 4500l, 425 and 4525s.

The spectrum analyzer is VERY broken. Multiple links show all the signs of my competitor using 5885 and 5875 on Mikrotiks that are NOT certified to use those channels (obviously hes using international firmwares)

The analyzer never shows anything in those channels, shows multiple Mikrotiks using the channels theyre supposed to, but the Signal to noise ratio does NOT reflect the obvious noise and the spectrum analyzer shows it clean as well.

Hi @ALEXANDER_D_BARCLAY ,

Could you please attach the techsupport files from all radios in question (with the spectrum analyzer either enabled or executed) to your support ticket?

Additionally, it would be helpful if you could specify:

  • Which frequencies are not showing interferers

  • Whether you have confirmed the presence of interferers using any other equipment

  • How you currently configure “international” frequencies on your radios

You are absolutely correct that the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) does not indicate interference—it reflects the background noise floor. Interference is typically measured using the Signal-to-Interference Ratio, but unfortunately, this metric is not available on our system at the moment.

Thank you!
