We have ntp servers that our 450M APs query for time. A tcpdump on the ntp server is showing the source port from the AP udp request as 6969. This port happens to be registered with IANA for the acmsoda, which is a bit torrent client.
Is there any reason the 450M ntp client uses port 6969?
This is probably not a really a big deal, but I came across it today and was curious about it. I would generally think ntp clients would run from the private port range (49152-65535).
Edit 11/5
Also noticed today the NTP protocol version being sent from the Cambium AP is version 3. Our Ciena and old Motorola 7181 devices are using NTP 4, so found that a bit interesting as well.
Thanks!
