4525 Link Test and Speed Test Discrepancies

We are still experiencing link test and speed test discrepancies. Also seeing higher ping on SMs with the 4500 opposed to 3000 we had before putting in 4500, same amount of SMs before and after swap, 48 SMs. I know some have mentioned scaling issues, so maybe that is what is happening. Definitely need a fix, been a bit underwhelmed with the 4000 series, I made a comment on a different thread, sorry cant remember which one, showing one of my Force 300-25 having no issue delivering 100mbps to a customer and a 4525 struggling.

Fixing the maximum modulation rates up and down will help with the latency issue.

One thing we’ve had issues with on 4k gear that we didn’t on 3k is that flow control and port speed mis-matches can be a real issue. You may need to experiment with flow control on/off on various devices to find what works best for you. Also, you may need to limit port speed on the 4k radio to 100Mbps in some situations (if you won’t need more than that).

Hi @DigitalMan2020 ,

could you show the MCSs distribution from your Performance page?
Is there retransmissions on both sides?

I can, but when there are higher retransmissions on either side it directly affects the cambium link test. The AP DL Retransmissions are sitting at 1% and the SMs is UL is sitting at 1%. Like the epmp 3000 before it, the AP(3000) DL was 1% and the SMs(F300-25) was 1% and had no issues with link test and speed test.
