4625 Won't Connect to AP

We have a 4625 that failed to reconnect to the AP when I did an upgrade of the system the other night. The radio shows that it upgraded, but the AFC is holding the transmitter off. Out of almost 500 SMs, this is the only one to which this happened.

The only way we can get internet to that radio is over-the-air from the AP. So it’s a ‘chicken and egg’ problem - the AFC needs internet to enable the transmitter, but the transmitter needs to be enabled to get internet.

I remember this being discussed somewhere, but I don’t remember where. What’s the solution to this?

Hello @John_Rayfield,

it must be something else. The radio supposed to switch to Standard Client mode and connect to the AP with 5db Tx power before it connects to AFC server and switches to Fixed Client mode.

I suggest you to raise a ticket. Our engineer will assist you to isolate it.
