Hi, we were told to disable 802.11r on the version 6.xx firmware for the XE3-4 aps because they would stop working after a short time.
Support mentioned that it would be fixed in version 7.1.
Is it safe (or advisable) to turn it on now that 7.11 is the recommended firmware level?
Hello @Mark_Nicholls . I can’t speak specifically to your question, but I would avoid 7.11 at all costs. It is extremely buggy and actually creates a lot of connectivity issues that don’t exist in the 6.x code. We’ve had to back-rev to 6.x in all of our production XE units to maintain a stable wireless environment.
Thanks for the heads up, we have only installed it in a building that no one is currently using.
