Strange Radio to Switch issue on 1 side only...
We have a link that has been running with 1 channel for some time, not live but confirmed end-to-end (SW-to-SW).
The other channel hasn’t be plugged in, on the ground/switches until a few weeks back – which failed.
A Side [3750X]—[820S]==========[ 820S]--- [3750X] B Side
- A Side, SW Port down/down Cambium Port Up
- B Side SW Port Up/Up Cambium Port Up
Isolated and added temp test Switches:
A Side [2960c]—[ 820S]===========[ 820S]---[2960c] B Side
Same result:
- A Side, SW Port down/down Cambium Port Up
- B Side SW Port Up/Up Cambium Port Up
I was able to Test Fibre Patch & SFP = all good.
On the surface this seems like a Fibre issue on the A Side between Fobot & Cambium, due to the Down/Down on the SW Int.
But the strange thing is that the Cambium Int goes Up or Down when the SW Int is Shut/No Shut… But the SW Int is always down/down
Has anyone come across this behaviour before?
Note: Between Fobot and Cambium radio we have (A) Passive fibre splitter (B) MLEH Hybrid Cables running up the mono pole.
Setup = HSB 1+1
