ACL deny Youtube or Facebook On Smartphone

Hi All,

I have a few customers who are using cambium E500/410 wifi system. They want to prevent users from using Facebook and Youtube to run using applications on smartphones. Currently DN-ACL feature only blocks when customers access Youtube or Facebook by web browser.

Please tell me how to handle this problem.

The apps typically use a different URL that you'll also need to add to the DNS ACL.

For instance, from https://support.opendns.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115018690203-How-to-block-youtube-app

the list of domains to block, to prevent access to Youtube from the app, would need to include:

  • googlevideo.com
  • ytimg.com
  • youtube.com
  • youtube-ui.l.google.com
  • ytimg.l.google.com
  • ytstatic.l.google.com
  • youtubei.googleapis.com
