All SMs have 30% Beacons, 100% Link Capacity

As the title says, we've got an AP with about a dozen SMs on it. All SMs have 29% or 30% Beacons, but ~100% Link Capacity and beautiful Jitter/Power.

Can anybody shed some light on this?

Hi,

Do you have “Transmit Frame Spreading” enabled on the AP? This is a really old feature where it allows two APs pointing in the same direction to be on the same channel to randomy not transmit beacons to reduce self interference. This is a feature we don't recommend using in a normal deployment. Please ensure this feature is disabled.

Thanks,

Sriram

It sure was, thank you!

What would be the purpose of enabling this when there is only one AP? I'm not sure why it was toggled.

There is no reason to turn this feature on when there is only one AP.

where is this found on the interface?  i don't see a selection anywhere for this on the ap?

This feature is specifically for PTP/PMP100 AP's and it's on the radio configuration tab.
