Today I saw a damaged e410 for the first time in my life. The symptoms are interesting. The device works normally after boot. If you configure them manually from GUI or CLI everything is ok. Add to cloud and sync? The device becomes useless. loses 40% of the ping, gui cannot be logged in with the correct password, CLI cannot properly execute sh interface brief commands. In the cloud it hangs in Veryfing status and turns red (unavailable). I will report an RMA tomorrow, but I guess it’s more of a problem with the flash memory chip.
I did everything possible to fix it, unfortunately it is impossible
Unless someone from the Cambium team has an idea?
I’m not sure why the AP will have a problem when connected to the cloud; if the AP is problematic, it should behave the same when not connected to the cloud.
Does is work fine if you disconnect from the cloud ?
Do you have any other AP in the same L2 network which works fine when connected to cloud ?
I’m sure you would have tried these scenarios.
I have over a dozen 410 devices on the same network and neither has a problem.
Configuring from the cloud is also not problematic because all other devices 410 work properly on it.
At 99%, there is something wrong with the flash memory. I sent the RMA, merged the logs.
You can check. ticket 287116
Same things with e425, but on prem cnmaestro 2.3, 92 APs are good, 2 of them same issue as described in previous post, tried with 3 different firmwares.
is this e410a or e410b or you see this with either? e410b is a new version of the e410a but essentially the same in terms of electronics, antenna, and SW. The housing is just updated a bit.
