Anyone running 4500 on 5.11 or 5.12 beta with higher SM count?

For us, the 5.12RC provided by Cambium saved us from loosing a lot of customers. Now Ookla tests are much better and also we can now see some MU in action. The upload Ookla tests are still far from good but I’m pretty sure Cambium will get there. Peak hrs nearly 300mbps with 50 CPEs. 50% Frame time used.

Hello All,

I am a bit surprised to see this thread…

I have been testing some other products recently and decided to run with cambium for a 40-50 client deployment on a single ap that will require fairly high bandwidth.

I am expecting to see 800mbps during peak hours on a 160mhz channel on a 4600…

Have I made a big mistake here with my expectations?

Thank you!

Expectations should be based on technical facts. It all depends on what your customers do at peak times with their connection and whether the firmware version you are using allows the AP to use MiMo. In my opinion the max capped bandwidth to deploy would be 500mbps on 160mhz channels.

My highest plan on a 4500 system is 300mbps (80Mhz) and at peak times Ookla’s result for this plan is around 200mbps. Any other time I get the 300mbps using Ookla.

It’s definitely achievable throughput.
Please let us know how it’s going for you and if any help is needed from us
Thanks
