Cambium offers API access to cnMaestro only in the paid cnMaestro X version. This is a disadvantage, because the API access opens the doors for connections to numerous third-party systems and in-house developments, which in turn results in a higher acceptance of Cambium products. It is a mystery to me why Cambium charges money for this, since it serves the distribution of Cambium products.
Quite a few competitors offer free API access to the management system. In addition, automation with platforms such as Make, Zapier, Relay etc. is almost a must nowadays.
A compromise could be that in the Essentials version only read access is possible, in the X version also read and write access.
But of course read/write would be preferable in the Essentials version.
