asymetical power levels (5.7 Ghz)

Hi All,

Anyone have thoughts on what would cause asymetical power levels on canopy links? The AP reports an average of 5 dB higher on most links than the subscriber is reporting. For example, the signal level reported by the SM averages around -65 dBm, but the “sessions” page on the AP will show -60 dBm for the same link.

I am using reflector dishes on my SMs. It’s my understanding that the numbers should be the same on both ends.

Thanks,

Rg

I believe the AP shows the power level of a signal it gets from SM, and vice versa. So the the power level, the RSSI and the jitter may differ.
