BAM 2.0 log in

We just finished installing BAM 2.0 on Fedora 3, after a few fits and starts it appears it is running. At least all of the “Verification” tests pass.

When we try to login as the administrative user at the gui interface nothing happens, we have the password field and the db server (localhost) press login and the screen just refreshes.

We tried editing the canopy.xml and canopy.inc files to show the IP address of the server and still no go.

Nothing in the /var/canopy logs either.

has anybody run across this particular problem with the BAM setup?

i am trying to figure out this problem for about two days now.
it seams that php is not executing at all.

did you have any luck fixing this problem?
if so please gimme a sign…

thx

Forget Fedora, go with CentOS, here is our post on that subject:

I agree, when we were evaluating I used CentOS 4 which is for all practical purposes Red Hat 4. Moto requires RH4 to even support the BAM installation, so I figured CentOS would do for eval. I had no clue what I was doing and I got it to work.

We decided against BAM, but I still like CentOS

i am running prizm and bam in the future. i got prizm to go on fedora so i
just tried the bam without luck.

how about running both togeter on centOS

Yup, thats what we did, no problem at all.

Like BAM, I think that Prism is supposed to run on RH4 so CentOS would be the logical choice if you don’t need support.

i downloaded centos now and i am trying again to install bam.
i’m just having some time here today.
question is:

what version of centos did you guys use.
must be something older and not the 4.3 one that is out now.

thx

gero

i had version conflicts and missing files here and there but the bam server
logs in and accesses the database.

how would i now get it working with prizm.

i would think to shut down httpd, copy the gui folder over in the tomcat server
of prizm and would be able to access it.
would that be about right?
