Broadcast Packet Limit for PTP

Is there any benifit for setting the Broadcast Packet Limit in a ptp link?

I have been thinking that if a network was in bridge mode that this could be enabled to help out?

 

If there is any benfit how can you calculate the pps for the Broadcast Packet Rate?

Hi NOW, 

I will let other operators chime in based on thier real world experience but Broadcast Packets Limit is generally useful to curtail a broadcast storm, especially on PTP links which is typically used for backhaul. Most modern routers and managed switches typically have facilities to help you measure the Broadcast PPS.
