Hi all,
I’m looking for some guidance on whether Cambium has or recommends any solution for using leaky feeder or radiating cable with Cambium Wi-Fi equipment.
The use case would be providing wireless coverage through a tunnel where conventional AP placement is impractical due to access issues. I’m aware that radiating cable systems are often used in these types of environments, but I’m not sure whether Cambium offers anything directly, or whether this would need to be done using a third-party radiating cable connected to a Cambium radio/AP with external antenna connectors.
A few questions then I guess:
Does Cambium offer any official leaky feeder / radiating cable solution with repeaters?
Are there any Cambium APs or radios that are recommended for this type of deployment?
Has anyone successfully used Cambium equipment with leaky feeder cable?
Would this be more suitable on 2.4 GHz only, or are there any supported/recommended options for 5 GHz as well?
Any advice, design notes, or examples from similar deployments would be appreciated.
Thanks.
