This just started happening. I can ping the router. I can see the log in page and log in on some of the computers on my network but not on a couple of them, it won’t load the log in screen. It tells me the page can’t be reached but I can still ping it. It had been working on these computers. It seems to be something going on with Windows 10. They used to be able to see the log in but just lost the ability to see it now. Computer IP is the same as always and the router is the same as always. I can take a new R195W and hook it to one computer with everything set for DHCP and the log in will come up. When I do the same thing to a different computer it won’t. Something in the network settings on the computer is causing this. Both IE and Chrome. Something new and strange for me to figure out. Anybody seen this before?
Thanks
PS: I am running Norton 360 Antivirus on both of these machines.
I appears Norton is causing the problem… Something changed (not by me) and the firewall was blocking the log in page. Thanks Norton. I wasted a lot of time trying to figure that out. Two of my computers have Norton and three don’t so it worked on three but not the other two…
AVG also did this to me not too long ago.
