I have found only one topic regarding the use of a USB modem for cellular failover. For my clients point of sale solution, I must be able to provide a reliable failover to cellular solution when the broadband ISP fails. I would greatly appreciate any advice or example solutions that have been successful. It is for failover only and relatively small traffic for POS and credit processing only.

You haven’t had any need to restart / re-connect the USB stick as a way of re-booting the modem?
I have connected usb modem to xv2-2 and it work perfectly
