I have some sites that the AP was configured with an incorrect address. I can telnet too a device at the site and then telnet too the AP. Is there any way to change the config of an AP via telnet?

No, but if it’s registered you can get to the AP, and then access the unit through the sessions page.
Otherwise you need an override plug.
IF you know the IP address of the device, you can use Lynx to get a text based page to change configuration info.
