In cnHeat 2.3.2 (released 2024-11-14) we introduced three features to help with usability of the tool. The features make navigating the various options much easier.
They include:
Navigating to the site on the map by clicking the pushpin next to the site name under the Sites menu.
Quickly loading the site configuration by clicking on the map view tower icon for the site.
Enabling/disabling predictions through the point analysis tool instead of navigating the Prediction List.
I would very much like to see navigation improvements for the FCC BDC reporting. Currently you need to select APs from a multi-select control. This is very error-prone and cumbersome if you have hundreds of APs and not all of them are of the same technology code. This means for each technology code you need to go through the list of hundreds of APs and shift/ctrl click each one. If you click wrong everything else is deselected. Searching for something also deselects your previous selections. It’s a pain, especially when you have 3 technology codes like licensed, LBR and unlicensed.
Aerojean, thank you for the feedback. I think the best thing in this case would be to add some sort of identifier to each AP name so that you can easily break out the 3 technologies with the filter option. Would you email us at cnheat@cambiumnetworks.com to work with us to do this? I think we should be able to make bulk changes in the database to support.
