Introduction
This document highlights new features and significant updates in cnMaestro On-Premises.
Important: Package Upgrade
cnMaestro On-Premises 4.0.1 is a Package release rather than a full OVA image. It must be applied on top of an existing 3.2.0 On-Premises installation.
Important: Web Browser
Restart your browser (or clear the browser cache with a hard reload) if you are having UI problems with the 4.0.1 update.
Assists for Enterprise Wi-Fi APs
Assists are now supported on enterprise Wi-Fi APs. This feature scans device configuration and generates an Assists Score, which is displayed as a percentage of successful evaluations. Assists summary scores are available for System, Network, Site, Tower, and Device levels in the hierarchy.
Assists Dashboard
The Assists Dashboard presents the Assists Score and the list of evaluated Assists.
Affected Devices
Devices failing evaluation are displayed in a table.
Enterprise Wi-Fi Dashboard with Assists Score
The Assists widget has been added to the Enterprise Wi-Fi Dashboard page.
Guest Access Enhancements
The Guest Access Portal > Splash tab is renamed Design to accommodate the new changes.
The Guest Access Portal > Sessions tab is split into the following 3 tabs:
- Sessions and Login Events
- Paid Transactions
- Users
Microsoft Azure-based Authentication
The Guest Access feature now supports Microsoft Azure-based authentication, which allows users to authenticate to the Wi-Fi network using Single Sign-On through their Azure Active Directory credentials. This feature simplifies the login process for users with an Azure account and eliminates the need for separate login credentials.
Sponsored Guest Authentication
Sponsored Guest Authentication allows guests to access the network by entering a sponsor’s email address. This limits the administrative overhead of managing guest networks, because it distributes the approval process while ensuring only authorized guests can access the network.
Administrators can design Sponsor and Guest email templates using the Design > Email Template page.
cnWave 5G Fixed Configuration Update and Tools Support
Template-based configuration is added for both cnWave 5G Fixed BTS and CPE devices. A template can be added from Configuration > Templates > Add Template.
The “Tools” tab is added to download Tech Dump files and reboot the cnWave 5G Fixed BTS and CPE devices.
60 GHz cnWave Enhancements
Support CB2 Channels on Map
New channels 9,10, and 11 are available for 60 GHz cnWave V3000 device when Channel and Polarity mode is selected in the Device Overlay section.
Disable Downlink Multicast Flood for PoP Device
Disable Downlink Multicast Flood option is available under PoP Device > Configuration > Network > Layer 2 Bridge.
Onboard E2E To External E2E Migration with Sites and Devices
Previously, Onboard E2E to External E2E migration could only be done if the External E2E controller had no Sites or Devices. This release lets users migrate Onboard E2E to External E2E when Sites and Devices are present.
Bulk Acknowledgement of Alarms
Acknowledge multiple alarms using the Bulk Acknowledge option.
Miscellaneous UI Changes
Configuration Lock Feature is moved from Administration > Settings to Configuration > Advanced Features page.
Tagging cnMatrix X Features
The cnMaestro UI clearly demarcates the following X features for cnMatrix devices:
- Auto Device Recovery (ADR)
- Cable diagnostics
- MAC lists for PBA
- Location services for PBA
Mesh Peers is Removed from Data Reports
The Mesh Peers tab is removed from Data Reports because it is not supported in Cloud.
