MarketApps Enhancements
Multiple Personal SSIDs
The Personal Wi-Fi option in MarketApps allows residents to manage their own personalized Wi-Fi networks within the community. This feature provides flexibility and customization for individual units, enhancing the user experience by allowing residents to configure their SSIDs and passwords.
Bulk Import for Property Manager
The Bulk Assign Residents option enables property managers to assign multiple units to residents by uploading a CSV or Excel file containing resident data.
Time Zone and ePSK Checkout for Property
Set the local time zone of the property where the MarketApp is running.
Manager Portal
Last Name Support in CSV Upload
The name field is divided into first name and last name for assigning units.
Property Managers Limit Increased to 10
The number of property managers per MarketApp has increased to 10.
EasyPass Onboarding (ePSK Cloud)
Creating an Onboarding Portal enables clients to register on an open SSID with their email, Google Workspace, or Microsoft Azure (Office 365) credentials to receive an enhanced pre-shared key (ePSK), which can be used to connect to a secure network SSID.
For a non-self-onboarding scenario, the administrator provides users with a passphrase from the Users page. The users can use the passphrase to connect to a network SSID. If ePSK is configured, the administrator can send an email to users with the passphrase.
To configure this feature, Navigate to Network Services > EasyPass page.
EasyPass Customizable Background
EasyPass background images enhance the visual appearance of the design page. Users can upload an image or a pattern to create an engaging backdrop. The Page Background Image option is disabled by default.
Configure Background Image for EasyPass Portals
Navigate to Network Services > EasyPass > > Design > Background Image. Enable the ‘Page Background Image’ option and select an image file to upload.
Configure Content Background Opacity
Navigate to Network Services > EasyPass > > Design and customize the setting for ‘Content Background Opacity’.
Guest Access/EasyPass Login Events History Increased to 3 Months
The Guest Access/EasyPass Login Events history has been extended to 3 months. In Data Reports, these events can now be downloaded for a custom time range of up to 3 months.
Note: Client Login Events table under Guest Access/EasyPass Portal > Sessions will continue to show only for 7 days.
NSE 3000 Enhancements
Authoritative DHCP
An Authoritative DHCP server assumes full responsibility for managing IP address assignments within its network scope.
Previously, this option was only configurable via CLI. However, users can now enable this feature by navigating to NSE Groups > Network page.
Enable/Disable Port Scan
Users can enable/disable Port Scan Detection per VLAN. This provides greater control over security configurations for individual VLANs. By default, the port scan for VLAN is enabled.
Enhancements to Threat Protection
Introduced Category for rule emerging-threats open. The categories are the same as those of emerging-threats pro. Also provided options to select/deselect all categories for emerging-threats open, emerging-threats pro, and snort-vrt.
cnWave 5G fixed Features/Enhancements
Ping Test option is added under Tools for both BTS and CPE devices.
Azimuth and Antenna Tilt fields added for cnWave 5G fixed BTS.
60 GHz cnWave Interference Scan
Interference Scan reveals neighbors with wireless settings that can negatively affect your network. It measures the level of interference a victim receiver sees. To run the Interference Scan, select a 60 GHz cnWave network on the Map page and click on the link for which you want to run the scan. The Details section on the right side of the Map page displays the selected link information. Click the triple dot icon ( ) next to the link name and select Interference Scan from the drop-down list.
Select the required victim node and click Start. If no interference is found, a pop-up message indicates the same.
Note: For the above feature, the E2E Controller and 60 GHz cnWave devices must run version 1.5 or later.
60 GHz cnWave Alarm Severity Change for Link Down
Starting with 5.2.0, the severity of the 60 GHz cnWave link down alarm has been upgraded from Minor to Major. This change applies only to the new alarms; the severity of the existing alarms will not change.
Software Upgrade for Fiber ONUs
Added support for ONUs software upgrade. To upgrade software for ONUs, navigate to Monitor and Manage > > OLT > Software Update and select ONU. Now select Hardware Type and list of devices needed for software upgrade.
UI Node Configuration for ONUs
A basic UI node configuration page is introduced for ONU devices which includes Description, Latitude, and Longitude. This can be configured under Monitor and Manage > > OLT > PON Port > ONU > > Configuration tab.
After configuring the Latitude and Longitude, the ONU appears on the Maps section of the ONU dashboard.
IdP Role Mapping for SSO (Single Sign-On)
When signing in to cnMaestro, cnMaestro Roles can be automatically assigned based on IdP (Identity Provider) groups or roles. This allows role maintenance through the SAML identity provider.
Note: To set up SAML access in cnMaestro, contact Cambium Support. Account information is required. An IdP Role Mapping Key is generated. This key is used to map an IdP group (such as app-cnmaestro-superadmin) to a cnMaestro Role (such as “Super Administrator”). Members of this group are automatically assigned the Super Administrator role when logging in.
To add a new role-mapping and assign a role for the IdP-based domain users, navigate to Administrator > Users > IdP Role-Mappings and enter the IdP Role Mapping Key provided by the Cambium Support team.
On successful validation of the IdP, you can view the IdP details configured on the Support site. In the Add IdP Role-Mapping window, assign the required roles to the user groups.
Company Information
When creating new cnMaestro accounts, users must provide Primary Contact Details and Company Details to improve Cambium customer support.
The Update Company Information page appears for existing cnMaestro accounts after logging in. Users can also select “Remind me Later” to postpone the update. This information can also be edited on the Administration > Company Information page.
Create a New cnMaestro Account Page
The Primary Contact and Company Details information are required when creating a new cnMaestro account.
Company Information Page
They can be edited later in the Company Information page.
cnMatrix Enhancements
Added Spanning Tree Protocol Port Fast option to update spanning-tree port fast settings.
Note: For the above feature, cnMatrix devices must run on version 5.1 or later.
Added per Port Configuration BPDU filter under STP. BPDU filter can typically be configured with port fast.
Removed static VLAN memberships when a PBA policy is applied to the port.
Audit Logs History Increased to 3 Months
The Audit Logs history has been extended to 3 months. An Audit Logs option is added to Data Reports, allowing Audit Logs to be downloaded for a custom time range of up to 3 months.
Miscellaneous Enhancements
Removed Export All as CSV under Audit Logs
Deprecated Export Page as PDF throughout cnMaestro
Search Filter Option for Audit Logs Description
Bonjour Gateway Configuration Changes
All Services and Chromecast options under Protocol while adding Wi-Fi Profiles > AP Groups > Services > Add Bonjour Gateway.
While Adding Bonjour Gateway, the From VLAN and To VLAN options are renamed to Service VLAN and Client VLAN, respectively.
Reports Enhancements
Added ‘Wi-Fi Events’ as a new option under the Reports ‘Type’ category, with downloadable data available for up to 7 days.
Renamed Clients to Wireless Clients
Severity Change for Configuration Failed Alarms
The severity of the configuration failed alarm has been upgraded from Minor to Major. This change applies only to the new alarms; the severity of the existing alarms will not change.
Pagination Support of 50 and 100 in Reports
Added 50 and 100 pagination support under Report > Scheduled/Completed and Administration > Jobs > Report.
Device Manageability Over IPv6
cnMaestro Cloud supports managing the following types of devices over IPv6:
- 60 GHz cnWave
- cnPilot Home
- Enterprise Wi-Fi
- ePMP
