In cnMaestro or any AP Mesh functions works only with configured mode elither Base or Client.It should be Mesh enable by default and in case of any AP loss data connectivity then it should connects to neighboring AP(same WLAN) and continue the service.
Second if APs loss connectivity with cnMaestro then it should stop broadcasting SSID.As in on premises cnMaestro if the connectivity is lost that means service is disconnection from the servce location.User will keep trying the SSID and it will create bad impression.
Market leader controller & APs works as above scenario.
