I just bought a Cambium Access Point along with its CnMaestro X, when configuring I got a new problem where
When I set the VLAN SSID according to the one on my Cisco Core Switch, the Access Point could not get an IP Address according to the existing Vlan.
I compared it with a Cisco Access Point that was already running with the same VLAN settings, the Cisco Access Point immediately got an IP according to the VLAN segment, can you help me? even though I have configured the VLAN SSID according to the Command on the Cisco Core Switch
We have our WIFI management on a separate VLAN to the users.
Our Cambiums are deployed with know IP addresses (so they are known in the event that we need to connect directly to them without using other tools).
Im wondering if your DHCP server is handing out the appropriate responses - if you move the DHCP function for management temp to your switch that has the SVI for VLAN8 atleast you will know if the request is recieved, and be able to use debug on the switch to assist.
BTW I hate DHCP for fixed assets - it creates too many operational issues.
Access Point must use Port Trunk on the switch, yesterday I configured it using Access mode so that it could only access 1 Vlan so Multiple Vlan did not work, when I changed the Port mode on the Switch from Access to Trunk Native Vlan the DHCP could run straight away
