Since this didn’t work for me… I installed the NTP server called chrony on the same Linux server where the on-premise cnmaestro is hosted. I disabled the NTP server on the on-premise cnmaestro (I removed the blooper), enabled port 123 on my firewall, and set the local IP address of the NTP server on the Cambium spokes where the NTP Client is configured. I pinged the local IP of the NTP server from each spoke.
Only the AX spokes have picked up that new local NTP server.
The AC spokes don’t.
You might say, “Why bother if I can provide internet access to the Cambium devices and set up a public NTP server?”
The answer is that we DON’T want my infrastructure spokes to be exposed to the internet, and for that reason, we want the NTP server to be local.
Any help?
Should I give the NTP server a hostname?
NTP is important to us so that the log records have correct dates and times.
Thanks for the help.
